Rebuilt my known-good 104-piece layout from notes and tested immediately — **7.12 excitement / 9.08 intensity / 4.79 nausea, 6 inversions, similarity 0.338**. Banked in the first two calls. 2. Spent the rest of the budget on the untried proximity bonus. I read `RideRatings.cpp` to confirm the exact scoring conditions (`ride_ratings_score_close_proximity_loops_helper`: a 90°-crossing track element with `baseHeight` 0–16 units above the loop element scores `TRACK_THROUGH_VERTICAL_LOOP`, worth ~+0.55 excitement combined with `THROUGH_VERTICAL_LOOP`). 3. Computed the lift-hill height profile from `piece_geometry`, routed a return leg that crosses under the lift, and **got a vertical loop successfully placed under the lift hill at the one tile that satisfies both the clearance and the zDiff window** — after three rejected placements narrowed down the sweet spot. **Where it fell short:** the circuit closed, but the test never completed — `tested: false`, excitement `null`, and `ride_length` growing from 3852 to 4877 as I raised the tick count.
